Most of the people want their eyeglasses unique, stylish and right frame for their face. They spend more time in selecting their pair of eyeglasses. The saddest thing is they don’t know how to maintain their glasses properly, So they have to change them more frequently.

#1 Wash Regularly
Always wash your eyeglasses with running tap water before you wipe them with clothes. Small tiny particles and sweat deposits in the lens can scratch the lens material and damages the lens coating when you’re wiping them with a dry lens. So it is recommended to wash them at least once a week.
#2 Use Lens Cleaning Spray
Use spray or cleaning solutions which are specially designed to clean eyeglasses. Avoid using household cleaners which contain acetone, ammonia glue, solvent, oil etc. These chemicals react with the lens surface and easily destroy your lens coating. Don’t hesitate to ask your optician today!.
#3 Use Lens Cloth
Never ever use your shirts, towels, handkerchiefs, tissues to clean the lens, though they are smooth and soft they can damage and scratch the lens. Use only recommended micro-fibre cloths specially designed to clean your eyeglass.
#4 Store properly
Everyone has the habit of having spectacles in the shirt pockets, placing them in office desk, even wearing them top of heads. Most of the times this day to day habits can scratch, misalign, sometimes even break the eyeglasses. Place them properly in a frame case when not in use. This is a better way to keep free eyeglasses from dust and dirt.

#5 Replace Nose Pads Regularly
Sweat and dirt may sit on the silicon of nose pads and hard them, change them from white to yellow pads. This yellowish hardened pads could create nose markings. Always replace your nose pads once in quarterly.
#6 Visit Once or Twice per Year
Due to constant usage eyeglasses can sometimes loosen and misalign. Make your dates and visit your optician’s shop periodically once or twice per year, have them repaired free of cost.
#7 Rush to Optician
Unfortunately, If any damage happens to eyeglasses don’t try to repair them yourself. Rush them to your optician’s shop because he’s trained well with repairs. If you tried them to repair but mistaken ultimately, you can make them non-repairable most of the times.
